Bernedoodles are a wonderful combination of the Bernese Mountain dog and poodle. This combination offers the great personality of both breeds while decreasing the undesired shedding of the Bernese Mountain dog. Bernedoodle puppies come in many different sizes and colors. They can be standard, mini, or tiny. The most commonly recognized Bernedoodle puppies are seen with the “tri” colors of black, white, and brown/rust. Others display two colors such as black and white, brown and white, or red and white. Solid colors such as black, red, or cream are less common and are often found in the F1b Bernedoodle. This solid coloring is due to the genetics of the poodle. F1b Bernedoodles are typically 25% Bernese Mountain Dog and 75% poodle, but they can take after either parent in coat or coloring. Due to its intelligence and loyalty, a Bernedoodle is a good choice for a service dog and pet.
